Submission Tips & Guidelines!

Don't forget to download our templates before preparing your design! 

Files can be emailed, or sent on a CDR. If needed, a FTP location can be provided for direct upload.

If emailing your files, please package them using compression software.  Without compression, your files can become corrupt.  Acceptable compression formats are:  .sit  .zip  .bin   (We can't use .DAT files - sorry!)

Always include a PDF proof of your artwork to ensure "translation" did not occur in the file exchange (meaning,  color shifts, font defaults, text re-flow, etc.).

Bare Feet's art department runs on a Mac  platform, and currently operates on OS10.4.  When you design your artwork, we can acceptable files in the following applications (in versions up to):

• Illustrator CS3
• Photoshop CS3
• InDesign CS3
• Quark 7

We can also accept very high-resolution PDFs.  However, JPEGs are not acceptable files to output.

FONTS:  Bare Feet requires MAC fonts.  Both printer (outlined) fonts and screen (bitmapped) fonts are necessary.  Please convert your fonts to "outlines" or "paths" in order to avoid any issues, especially if you're working in Windows.

Be sure to list ALL spot or process colors to be used on your CD face (for an explanation of "spot" and "process", see our FAQ page).  Please indicate if a white flood is necessary.

Very Important: When Bare Feet manufactures your discs, we're all about high-quality screen printing...we do not laser print or use paper labels.  So when your designer is setting up your face art files, it's necessary that they're moderately familiar with the screen printing process.  Please see our FAQ Page for a quick tutorial.
